Thoughts! Mindful by Crystal #03

In this episode I explain my perception of the the mind and our thoughts. Being able to control your thoughts, or becoming aware them and that they are separate from your self, can change your life. We can use mindfulness as a tool to help us learn that our consciousness is not the same as our brain. This allows us to focus on the things that bring us joy and happiness, rather than letting our thoughts spiral us into unwanted emotions.
The simplest and most basic form of meditation might be a sitting meditation. To do this, you simply sit and focus on something that keeps you in the present moment, like your breath. Notice what comes up! What do you see, feel, hear, sense, experience… etc.? When your thoughts come up, acknowledge them and keep going! You’re doing great. Start with a few minutes several times a day or play 10 minutes in your schedule!
